I work with an organzation call The Peace Alliance, we are focusing on lobbying for legislation that would create Departments of Peace
both in our nation and around the world. We also support our youth initiative in engaging in peacebuilding trainings and conferences. There has been a huge growth in peacebilding tecnology in the last 30 years, yet that expertise has not been widely recognized and included in strategic decision making. How do we spread the word?

I work with elderly and severely disabled. From my perspective as an able-bodied person, there are many things I'd like to see change in how younger generations interact with elderly and disabled people (mostly this is centered around treating grown people as if they are helpless as well as putting on a phony air of kindness as soon as they look up and see someone is in a wheelchair. Why can't they be kind all the time? It makes absolutely no sense to me). What are a few of the things you'd like to see change? Also, how can the mindset be changed in order to foster a better cohesion in the age-gap? I think it would make a tremendous community impact if people knew how to support those who made our lives easier by returning the favor. A pay it forward mentality if you will.

    Thank you for your time.

How do we inform developed nations of Certified re mediation technology that reduces green house gas emission, restores clean water and produces economic growth. Man has imperilled his own environment with landfill waste and toxins since the industrial revolution, at what point of saturation will this technology be used to clean up resources we continue to destroy, both water and air are required for all life, it's about time we started to clean up the mess man has created.

    Hello again Virgin,

Just wanted to address a issue that I would love to ask the Elders help in addressing. It concerns the Private Prison Industry, ruthless tactics towards innercity youth of the US. Something I and many others have addressed over the past few years without much media attention. The topic mysteriously seems to be swept under the rug making people believe theri are a lot of unscrupolous people involved. A lot of for lack of a better description "JIVE" people watching kids be framed, enslaved in a system that sells merchandise like tables etc. A prison population made up of 50% blacks in a country where they are less than twenty percent of the population. So when people in certain places PLAY DUMB in unison it's even worse.
Its as if their racism is feeding these systems. Places where police departments single out blacks but dont single out others. Places where inmates of different complexions mysteriously have a higher percentage of freedom in jails because of the racist departments. Do these things to make your misdeameanor tickets as miserable as possible.
But its more than that. Its that people don't take education seriously then watch as this happens. Dont invest money in their own local schools then watch kids arrested. Thats the spookiest part of the whole situation. "Jive" No matter how far behind are kids fall I can never be angry with them because its technically not their falt. But as the US begins to quiclkly turn into what others described as Third World its all because people did not invest. Not because of the inhabitants. You could have people of all races and colors in a place who are educated and will feel at ease you won't get robbed or shot for something petty. But once people become desperate and hungry this is exactly what is created. When you move Industry overseas and build PRISONS your not thinking of anyone's best interest but the towns who have prisons.
So like the new movie about Mandela suggest
INVICTUS unconquerable, I hope to give kids the gift of enterprise so they will not be conquered. Give them the gift of creating enterprise.

If not we are starting to look at a SHELL of a country that really has zero credibility because its destroying its own. Creating a MAD MAX like landscape may be a vengeful vendetta created by angry politicians who hate a lot of people but it will also create people who also have no scruples. Which is not good planning. But I honestly feel people have so much hatred they would rather create chaos rather than see people at peace and getting ahead. They have it down to a science now. I wish to ask the Elders if they would address this industry before things get any worse. I know I have risked my own life even speaking on the matter and congradulate all the brave people who have done likewise. God I know rewards things looked at by the masses sometimes as unpopular. Like Mr. Mandela I don't have fear of men because they never placed a spirit in my body to begin. I fear what GOD would say to me
if I did not address the situation and continued to watch kids be raised like livestock!

    GODBLESS

How can the Elders best support education for all across the globe so that we might learn our way out of difficulties and build a truly sustainable future based on understanding each other better?

    Dear Elders,
Thank you for your time and the opportunity to ask questions of your honorable group. I have three questions.

    1) The old paradigm of "peace" talks, so to speak, carried with it the threat of economic sanctions or military action. It seems that the introduction of the Elders ushers in a new era and a new paradigm. How would the Elders define this new paradigm and how does it garner its influence?

    2) With the ability of access to millions of people globally through the internet, what do the Elders see the average citizen's roll is in helping to influence the issues the Elders are trying to address?

    3) How do the Elders decide which issues to address globally and once decided what is the process used by the Elders to address issues?

    Respectfully,
    Cari Elden

I ask whether the cultivation of marijuana could be legalise in order to support the sdevelopment of biofuels, cease the criminalisation of young indigent landworkers such as those in Jamaica and demystify the practise of smoking the weed so that health checks and warnings can be issued on a par with tobacco.

Will there ever be peace through out the entire world with out the intervention of war and/or violence? So far, the history of the world proves this idea to be impossible.

This is a South African question. Everybody in SA is troubled by the high crime rate. If SA only has 180 000 police looking after 48 million people - the violence is not going to be curbed. How can we clean up the SAP's image, recruit new police and bring the ratio of 1 cop to 266 citizens down?
