Business as a Force for Good

Europe is our own “backyard” and Virgin Unite currently works closely with 13 businesses in the UK and Europe and since April 2010 has assisted in the generation of over £4 million pounds worth of volunteered time, cash and in-kind donations from staff, customers and external partners. The UK and Europe businesses are focused on making a difference to incredibly diverse social and community issues ranging from rural communities and informal carers to entrepreneurship and disadvantaged young people.

We believe the best approach is to tackle a social issue and work with multiple partners in order to achieve the most impact. Creating opportunities for our Virgin family is a big focus: in addition to delivering Give Time Hit Squads, we have also designed customized leadership programmes for senior managers involving strategic challenges in marketing, fundraising and customer service.
 

Virgin Care

Virgin Care provide NHS services nationwide with a focus on community and primary healthcare. We do this by working in partnership with a range of organisations and investing time and money to develop high quality NHS services which provide care good enough for our own families.

Virgin Care services are funded by the NHS and are free to anyone who needs them, but we take a fresh approach to improving service delivery. Just because NHS services are universally available doesn’t mean that people shouldn’t receive an outstanding service.
