Business Mobilisation Manager
Heidi joined the Virgin Unite team in early 2010 as the Business Mobilisation Manager. She brings to the team her entrepreneurial experience, background in advertising and communications, and experience co-ordinating a youth outreach program called Chill, run by Burton Snowboards non-profit Chill Foundation. She has a keen interest in the environment and business. She has earned a MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford, and a BBA from the Schulich School of Business in her native Canada.

First music gig - It was likely a Canadian band that never made it big - maybe Treble Charger or Len.

Hobbies: Anything to feel that I’m Living life to the fullest, but mainly travelling, reading, theatre, helping at Charity events, visiting art galleries, painting and sculpturing, keeping fit and finding new adventurous and positive things to do.

What you wouldn’t guess by looking at me: I’m an emergency response volunteer and a member of a UK society (Think-tank) that aims to explore the political ideas and the policy reforms which will define progressive politics in the new century.

Experience: Helped found the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria in 2001. Worked in the US Senate and in India on health and rural development in the 1990’s. Currently sits on the advisory boards of Breakthrough, a human rights organization, and Tonic Generation. Holds an M.S in Health Policy and Management from Harvard and B.S in Biopsychology and Cognitive Science from University of Michigan.

Executive Assistant
Experience: Originally joined Virgin in 1988 to start up a crèche for employees, eventually moved on to serve as Richard Branson’s assistant until 2005. Prior to working with Virgin, worked as a nursery nurse in a top London teaching hospital and a social services day nursery.

Experience: Richard’s PA for the past three and a half years setting up and running his office at Necker Island, BVI. Prior to that worked for Jamie Oliver as his PA for four years in London.
Home town: Born Bishop’s Stortford. Previously lived in the British Virgin Islands, Australia and London and now in New York City
