Virgin Mobile USA's great work to address youth homelessness in the United States through the RE*Generation campaign has been featured in the Huffington Post.
The article by homelessness expert Christine Schanes ("Homelessness Myth #12: Corporations Don't Care") also features a video PSA from Lady Gaga, who has joined forces with Virgin Mobile to raise awareness of this issue.
"Corporations have a moral imperative to help those in need. . . .It's not just good to be philanthropic, it's good for business," says Dan Schulman, President of Virgin Mobile USA.
In 2006, with the support of Virgin Unite, Virgin Mobile USA launched the RE*Generation campaign through which Virgin Mobile's 5 million customers could be empowered to help end homelessness among youth.
Since it began, Re*Generation has helped raise close to $500k, plus encouraged volunteers to donate more than 200k items of clothing, over 30k hours of community service and nearly 10k hygiene kits.
