Virgin Atlantic's head office recently linked up with their local Foyer in Crawley offering their neighbours both financial and functional support. Staff from VAA provide weekly skills workshops to the residents, including grooming, first aid, makeovers and CV skills.
Staff have also been supporting their local Foyer through various internal fundraising drives. The impressive Virgineers Golf Day raised over £20,000, which will all go towards putting in a training kitchen in the centre and a communal chill out area. This is an important addition to the centre, which can now enhance the experience for young people achieving independent living by teaching them about nutrition and cooking skills they miss living apart from a family.
